Tasha Dorsey, PSY.D

Prior to becoming a licensed psychologist, Dr. Dorsey graduated with a B.S. in English from the U.S. Naval Academy. After completing her service commitment, she earned her master’s (MS) and doctoral degrees (Psy.D.) in clinical psychology at George Washington University. Her training is from a psychodynamic perspective which emphasizes how important past relationships and experiences shape our current emotional state and lifestyle patterns. She has specialized training in child and adolescent psychology, psycho-educational testing, and psychodrama. Her work with adults includes community mental health and residential settings. Currently, Dr. Dorsey’s interests are group therapy for adolescents, adult women, and BIPOC communities. She also practices nature informed therapy, an approach that integrates evidenced based interventions that include various aspects of nature in the therapy session.
